Queen’s Club HSBC Championships 2026: What to Know and Where to Eat Nearby

June 1, 2026 by Haleta Mehari

Visiting Queen’s Club for the HSBC Championships 2026? Here are a few useful things to know before the day begins, plus some restaurants near Queen’s Club to keep in mind afterwards.

Heading to Queen’s Club for the HSBC Championships this year?

If you are also looking for restaurants near Queen’s Club, it helps to think about the meal before the day gets busy.

You may already be thinking about the tennis, the order of play, who you might get to see, and how to make the most of the day.

But there is one other thing worth planning before you go: where to eat afterwards.

So, if you are visiting Queen’s Club this June, here are a few useful things to know before the day begins, followed by some places to keep in mind for lunch, dinner, or something relaxed after the tennis.

A Few Useful Things to Know Before You Go

The HSBC Championships take place at The Queen’s Club in West Kensington.

The tournament runs across two weeks, so the atmosphere can feel a little different depending on the day you go. Earlier rounds are usually better if you want to see more players across the grounds, while the later rounds naturally feel more focused as the finals get closer.

The women’s WTA 500 event comes first, followed by the men’s ATP 500 event.

Here is the simple version:

Part of the tournamentDates
Women’s qualifying6th to 7th June 2026
Women’s main draw8th to 14th June 2026
Men’s qualifying13th to 14th June 2026
Men’s main draw15th to 21st June 2026

The full order of play changes as the tournament goes on, so it is worth checking before you leave. Tennis days can shift depending on the matches, the weather, and how long each round takes, so it helps to have a loose plan rather than a strict one.

Fun fact: The Queen’s Club was established in 1886 and is named after Queen Victoria, who was its first patron.

It has also long been part of the build-up to Wimbledon. Over the years, some players have won at Queen’s and then gone on to win Wimbledon in the same year, including John McEnroe, Boris Becker, Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray, and Carlos Alcaraz.

Restaurants Near Queen’s Club for After the Tennis

After a few hours at Queen’s Club, it is easy to forget about food until you are already leaving.

By then, you may just want to sit down somewhere nice rather than start comparing menus on your phone.

It helps to have a few places in mind before the matches finish, especially during tournament week when the area naturally gets busier.

So, here are a few places near Queen’s Club to keep in mind, depending on what kind of meal you feel like.

Riccardo’s Italian Restaurant in Chelsea

If you would like a Tuscan Italian meal after the tennis, Riccardo’s on Fulham Road is a Chelsea restaurant to keep in mind.

After a day at Queen’s Club, you may want something that feels comfortable. Somewhere you can sit down properly, not feel rushed, and let the day settle a little.

You can look through the menu, order a few plates, try a bit of everything, and keep it easy. It works well when you do not feel like committing to one big dish, especially after being out at the tennis for most of the day.

If the weather holds up, sitting outside on Fulham Road is one of those small things that makes the whole day feel complete. A glass of wine, something good on the table, and a bit of space to slow down.

Indian Express, West Kensington

Indian Express is a well-reviewed Indian restaurant in West Kensington.

It is a good one to keep in mind if Indian food sounds right after the tennis, especially if you want something warm, familiar, and full of flavour after a day outside.

The Curtains Up

The Curtains Up is more of a pub option.

It suits a drink, a relaxed bite, or a casual catch-up after the tennis rather than a longer restaurant meal.

The Harwood Arms

The Harwood Arms is more of a polished gastropub option.

This is one to consider if you want the meal after Queen’s Club to feel a little more like part of the day, rather than just somewhere to stop quickly before heading home.

Planning Your Meal After the Tennis

The main thing is to think about it before the day gets away from you.

Tennis days can move quite quickly. You might arrive thinking you will leave at one time, then a match goes longer, the order of play changes, or you end up staying later than expected.

Popular restaurants near Queen’s Club can also get busier during tournament week, so it helps to have a rough plan.

If you know where you would like to eat afterwards, it is worth booking ahead where possible. That way, once the tennis is finished, you can simply make your way there and enjoy the rest of the day properly.
