Wimbledon is back this summer, and it always feels like one of those events that quietly becomes part of London for a couple of weeks.
Even if you are not going to Wimbledon in person, it has a way of finding its way into the week. You hear people talking about the matches, checking the scores, wondering who is still in the draw, or making plans for the finals weekend.
So I thought it would be useful to put the main things in one place.
Below, you’ll find the key Wimbledon 2026 dates, a simple guide to the schedule, how to watch the matches, and a few things worth knowing before the tournament begins.
And if you are looking for somewhere to watch Wimbledon in Chelsea, we’ll also be showing the tennis at Riccardo’s on Fulham Road.

British Players to Look Out For at Wimbledon 2026
Part of the fun of Wimbledon is having a few British players to follow through the tournament.
At the time of writing, some of the main British names to look out for include Emma Raducanu and Katie Boulter on the women’s side, and Cameron Norrie and Jack Draper on the men’s side.
There are also British players to follow in the wheelchair draws, including Alfie Hewett, Gordon Reid, and Andy Lapthorne.
Of course, entry lists, wildcards, injuries, and the draw can all change close to the tournament, so it is worth checking the latest Wimbledon entry list before the first round begins.
Fun fact: Queen’s and Wimbledon have a lovely tennis connection. Over the years, several players have won at Queen’s and then gone on to win Wimbledon in the same summer, including Andy Murray and Carlos Alcaraz.
